Inspired by my daughter's nursing work in Zambia with Doctors Without Borders. This series conveys the warmth of these people, the color and style of their clothing, and depicts their way of life and aspirations. Colorful African fabrics are enhanced with embellishments, found objects, hand-stamped elements, beads, fibers, and buttons.
