Considerable time is spent on fabric and material choices to achieve the desired tactile qualities. Folded fabric appliqué is used for pieces featuring women, as it effectively portrays clothing with texture and movement.

Handmade and repurposed embellishments including beads, buttons, fiber, and stitching are incorporated into the work. Various quilting techniques are applied to add visual interest.

The goal is to push boundaries and create a story that conveys tactile warmth and character, drawing the viewer in to experience the artwork's energy.
